Bürgerhus (Town House)
Located on Kupferschmiedestraße close to the river Weser is the magnificent Bürgerhus. Today the building houses a restaurant and offers a charming place to wine and dine. The lavish carvings and gothic inscriptions on the facade of the house, believed to have been built in 1530, are still apparent today. These were uncovered and elaborately restored in the course of painstaking detective work during the second major renovation phase in the 1980s. Given its corner site, there is every opportunity to admire the historical facade of this house and its splendid entrance.
